The chili cook-off is this coming Saturday (Oct. 11th) at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Peru, Indiana.

Miami County’s First Annual Chili Cook-Off Oct. 11, 2008
We are all getting excited about Miami’s Heartland FIRST Annual Chili Cook-Off scheduled for Saturday October 11, 2008 at the Miami County Fairgrounds in Peru, Indiana. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY event with FREE ADMITTANCE. Chili Tickets are only $5.00 and is for all you can eat!
Handicapable is proudly sponsoring the chili cook-off and it is sure to be quite an event!
We are still looking for those that want to enter the chili cook-off themselves or enter their business, so if you are interested, you can download a Team Sign Up Form or if you want to be a sponsor, download the Sponsor Sign Up Form. Schedule of Events: Chad Shrock will be performing at 11:00 AM – Chili Tasting Open to the Public at 11:30 A.M. – The Indy Quad Squad will put on a demonstration at 12:00 P.M. – The Swampwater Stompers will be performing at 1:00 P.M. – Chili Voting Ends at 2:00 P.M. – A Loretta Lynn Impersonator will be performing at 3:00 P.M. – The Bluegrass Buddies will be performing at 3:30 P.M. – CASI Awards Ceremony will begin at 4:30 P.M. and last but not least….Peoples Choice, Showmanship, and the Restaurant Awards Ceremony begins at 5:00 P.M.
The Purdue Extention Office and Handicapable, Inc. will be offering a Pesticide Applicator Recertification Program (PARP) for only $10.00 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. as well. You can contact Gary Horner at 765.472.1921 for more information.
