And that is why the 2008~ACAA Part 382 Final Rule will be in effect in May 2009. http://airconsumer.dot.gov/rules/rules.htm To make it quite clear that the terminals, stores and lots are indeed under the ADA and the planes themselves are under the ACAA.

I do not have a disability so I cannot speak from first hand experience, but I am a caregiver of a young adult with a physical disability. I've seen the looks, I've heard the whisperings as they walk by and I've witnessed the prejudice. However, as much as these incidents irritated me (still do at times), I've come to see it as simply ignorance. It's a shame because this same ignorance short changes these same individuals lives in that they may miss the opportunity to meet this young adult and have their lives enriched.

Hi everyone,
I just noticed on www.visitindiana.net that there is no mention of our chili cook-off. There is a listing for a chili cook off in Elwood, IN on 10/11/2008.
Just FYI that we are not getting enough advertisement.

Being a person with a spinal cord injury has its own problems but when you encounter people that look at you and treat you like you have a brain injury just drives me crazy. Its amazing to me how people can look at you and prejudge without even talking to you. Just because people with disabilities don't walk the same or talk the same does not mean that their brains are not fully functional. Does anybody feel the same or am I too sensitive. Please comment
