I've seen the looks, I've heard the whisperings as they walk by and I've witnessed the prejudice. However, as much as these incidents irritated me (still do at times), I've come to see it as simply ignorance. It's a shame because this same ignorance short changes these same individuals lives in that they may miss the opportunity to meet this young adult and have their lives enriched. Its amazing to me how people can look at you and prejudge without even talking to you.
